The Cancer Center houses the most advanced treatment and planning technologies to offer cancer patients a range of radiation therapy services.

The Cancer Center is proud to be one of the only a few cancer centers in the area to use IGRT with "Smart Beam" technology, one of the most significant technological advancements in radiation oncology in the past 10 years. IGRT allows our skilled technicians to more precisely target treatments to minimize side effects and damage to healthy tissue.

We are also the only center in the  Northern Virginia - Washington DC metro area to use RapidArc™ radiotherapy technology. This innovation allows us to deliver precise doses of radiation 2-8 times more quickly than with conventional IMRT. This means patients spend less time receiving their daily radiation treatments, resulting in less movement and potentially more precise treatment with reduced side effects.  

The Cancer Center has also been a leader in the development and planning of other services, including PET/CT imaging and brachytherapy.
