Reach to Recovery®
This program provides information and support for women newly diagnosed with breast cancer. Reach to Recovery® volunteers are breast cancer survivors who have been carefully selected and trained to visit or call patients after diagnosis. If you were recently diagnosed with breast cancer or have a family member or friend who would appreciate a call from a Reach to Recovery® volunteer, contact Cindy Kelly, Fauquier Hospital Physician Referral & Community Link, at (540) 316-3588 or kellyc@fauquierhealth.org.
Relay for Life
Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature activity. It offers everyone in a community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Relays are an overnight event, up to 24 hours in length. Fauquier County Relay for Life.
Road to Recovery
Road to Recovery provides rides to and from treatment for people with cancer who do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves. To locate a Road to Recovery volunteer in your area, call 888-227-6333.
